Samantha Huculak speaks at Chamber Event
Managing Partner and Owner, Samantha Huculak leads a session at the Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce 2nd International Women's Event. Samantha was asked to discuss women setting themselves up for success. Thank you to the Chamber for the invitation, the other speakers, and to all attendees. It was a great evening.
Committed to making a positive impact outside of our firm, we actively support various community initiatives including charity events, children’s programs, and local programs. Through these partnerships, we aim to foster strong, vibrant communities and empower local organizations to continue their valuable work.

On January 20, 2023, Samantha Huculak, Andrew Lawson, and other staff members were proud to attend the ceremonial swearing in of Judge Gordon D. Putnam to the bench of the Provincial Court of Alberta. It was an honor to join Judge Putnam, his colleagues, family and friends, watch as he was sworn in.

The Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta (CPLEA) is a public legal education organization dedicated to making information about the law available in readable and understandable language for Albertans.
Through a variety of approaches (web, print, presentations, and answering questions) they help educate the public to enable them to make better decisions about many aspects of their daily lives.
The Centre is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, librarians, teachers, and web specialists. CPLEA uses a collaborative approach to develop materials and strategies for teaching people about the law.

We are honoured to announce that Gordon D. Putnam, Q.C. has been appointed as a Judge of the Provincial Court of Alberta. Therefore, Gord will be stepping down on May 31, 2022 as a partner with Putnam Law LLP to begin his judicial appointment.
Samantha Huculak will be taking over as Managing Partner of Putnam Law LLP. Samantha started her career with the firm eight years ago, has been part of the management team for five years, and a partner in the firm since 2021.
A native of the Sturgeon County region, Samantha moved to Morinville with her husband in 2015. In 2018, she welcomed a son. Samantha is an active member of the community. She is a board member for the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation and previously served as a board member with both the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce and Sturgeon Victim Services.
Andrew Lawson, formerly a 26 year partner with Putnam & Lawson, will remain with Putnam Law LLP.

Who we are looing for
We are looking for a lawyer with 3 or more years of practical, post-call experience.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
Litigation experience;
Responsibility for client files with minimal oversight;
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
High level of organization, planning, prioritization and execution; professionalism;
Efficient file and practice management skills;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software; and
Experience with a Esilaw, DivorceMate and documentation management systems is an asset.
Requisites
Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws
A member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
3 or more years of post-call litigation experience
